Dubai: The affiliate of the Islamic State group in Afghanistan has claimed responsibility for attacks outside Kabul Airport.
Two suicide bombers and gunmen attacked the crowd of Afghans flock to Kabul airport on Thursday, killing at least 60 Afghanistan and 12 US troops, Afghan and US officials said.
The is a branch, known as the province of Islamic countries after a name for the region from ancient times, said in his responsibility claim that he targeted their American forces and allies of their Afghanistan.
The statement brought a photo of what the militant group was said to be a bomber who made an attack.
The picture shows the alleged attacker standing with a blasting belt in front of the black flag with a black cloth covering his face, just his eyes displayed.
The statement did not mention the second suicide bomber or armed man.
The claim cannot be verified independently.
It was also said that the bomber made it through the Taliban security checkpoint to come within 5 meters (yard) of the army meeting, translator, and US collaborators before blowing up the delivery material.
He said the Taliban also included victims.
Extremis is a group that has fought against the Taliban, which is seen as a traitor to approve a peace agreement with the United States.
The statement also said the bomber overcame US security measures and that the targeted camp was where US forces collected documents for those who had worked with the military.
