Ranchi: There has been a weakness seen in Covid appropriate behavior in most cities in the state, police sources said.
While large meetings, crowds at shopping complexes and malls, there is no social distance near food stalls have become a common sight in big cities, face masks have disappeared or started to slip into the neck or dangling from the ears, except among children which are regularly inspected by the school authorities.
Instance in Jharkhand is testimony to Niti Aayog claim that wearing face masks have fallen by around 60% in the whole country.
Although the exact figure for the decline in the use of masks and appropriate behavior covid rack is not available with government agencies here, the data from the police department, entrusted with the responsibility of enforcing norms, speaks volumes.
On Saturday, none were found to violate the norms of locking in 21 districts, except for Jamshedpur, Ramgarh and Bokaro where 75, 55 and 20 people arrested.
Violators were fined Rs 28,500 and Rs 57,000 in Jamshedpur in Ramgarh.

“It’s for the betterment of the people that they are encouraged to follow the appropriate behavior Covid and we expect them to be careful after a bad experience from the second wave,” said a police officer who requested anonymity.
