NCA Bowling Coach Paras Mhambrey on transition, allrounders care and educating children …
New Delhi: Former Indian Pacer Paras Mhambrey is the head of the relieve Lieutenant Rahul Dravid for the past six years.
He is responsible for India U-19, India ‘A’ and a Bowling coach at NCA.
Like Indian cricket for the resumption of domestic cricket and Junior Cricket, Mhambrey offers a future challenge for NCA to maintain a strong collection of cricket that has seen Indian cricket through a pandemic in the past year.
There is no conventional coaching manual in NCA …
“You need to work with what you have.
We have several players who have not been through the age crickets of age groups and formal coaching.
This is not about changing anything or goes with a book, but only makes a player more effective.
we have to see that go with the coaching manual, you change something and then there is a possibility that the player is injured too.
“Educate the upcoming players on the workload with so much competition around …
everything, including Rahul (dravid), sitting with The players to discuss statistics and data available about the number of balls they click even in practice.
You educate them by saying that generally players tend to be injured two or three weeks from a certain point.
For example, in 2017-18, Mohammed Siraj Bincul a lot and he took many goals.
There is a game in Bangalore that we play against South Africa ‘a’.
The coach feels this is the right time to pull it back.
Every player who enters and pickets wickets wants to build it clearly, the opportunity is made to play for the team.
We explained to him why we did it and he finally convinced.
Planting the Pace-Bowling transition for the Indian team …
all we need to see is where seniors are now.
How long have you seen Ishant or Shami playing.
We see how much cricket is needed a lot of lots to get that experience to continue to the next generation.
It’s all about giving a younger experience.
They need to play more.
It’s about creating an environment where these young people are like Siraj, Shardul, Avesh and Deepak Chahar grow before the next lot are taken in.
Read Alsoou could never get used to this Indian bowling attack: Dawid Malanthe India Pacers is better than their English colleagues in the test series that is very intensely fighting and visitors lead 2-1 before the fifth match was called after several Covid-19 cases on Indian camp.
Dawid Malan say people like Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Shami Andchallenges to learn the maintenance of Bowler all formats …
We have sort of reaching a point where we need a specialist format.
We will be happy to put the road may not be for all three formats, but two formats to start.
You have someone like bumrah now.
He did play a longer format but for a long time while it was only a shorter format.
But a lot of work continues in the field.
If you have people who are really ready to put on a difficult page through workload, I think you can then make opportunities.
Allopling fast-bowling …
it will always be difficult.
We don’t have it at grassroots.
At the Under-19 level, we have some of them but they can’t make it.
We need to take it under one umbrella and focus on them.
Even the state association needs to work here.
There are definite challenges at a higher level that this allrounders are worried because they are injured and that is why they don’t emphasize their bowling a lot.
They need to get the confidence of supporting staff that they will be taken care of.
If they can handle it, the reward is there.
Working on Cricket U-19 with WC three months …
The challenge is to discuss individually what certain children do in the past two years.
No note.
Some people can practice a little more than others.
Then the strength and conditioning come and the assessment will occur in terms of fitness.
We must quickly assess within any time available with us.
