Gurgaon: More than 10 years after investing their work on the Vigneshwara Aquarius Cyber Park project in Sector 74, hundreds of investors are still struggling to secure their investment because developers have left the project and allegedly embezzling funds.
A group of suffered investors fulfilled CM Manohar Lal Khattar on Tuesday and asked for its intervention in this matter.
Currently in prison, two directors of Vigneshwara developers – Sunil Dahiya and Sanjay Dahiya – are collected around RS 320 Crore on the name of the project but not one brick laid and all the money allegedly sucked by the Shell company.
In 2018, the duo, while in prison, managed to sell five properties they made a mockery of the authorities.
One of the aggrieved investors, Nipun Kapur said Khattar had directed the director of the city and state planning (DTCP) to look into the problem.
“During our meeting, we asked CM that the abandoned project must be given the status of mixed land because it fell under the development of transit oriented (TOD),” he said.
Tod are the development of housing and commercial diverse around the transit station, to promote the centric life transit with independent ecosystems, providing easy access to public transportation.
He said senior DTCP officials informed CM that “needed policy change since the 74 sector is an industrial zone”.
“But we did research and found that the license no 121 of 2008 other developers had been updated in 2021 for the ratio of 3.5 floors (far) with mixed land use.
We will bring this fact to CM notification.” Vigneshwara victim welfare association member Also told CM the only resolution for their problem “is to bring a reliable new developer board for the completion of this project”.
A senior DTCP official said the department was checking representation.
