Beirut: Afghan Branch of the Islamic State Militant Group on Friday said it was behind the explosion that lowered the electric path and fell Kabul to become darkness.

In a statement published on the telegram channel, the Islamic state-khorasan (IS-K) said “The Caliphealing soldiers detonated a bomb on an electric pole in Kabul” to damage the electricity sector.
The explosion reached a high voltage line that supplies imported power to Kabul and several other provinces.
Afghanistan mostly depend on electricity imported from northern neighbor Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, making cross-country power lines is the main target of rebels.
