Beirut: Afghan Branch of the Islamic State Militant Group on Friday said it was behind the explosion that lowered the electric path and fell Kabul to become darkness.
Power Cut on Thursday was a further blow for the Taliban’s efforts to stabilize Afghanistan two months after they seized control.
In a statement published on the telegram channel, the Islamic state-khorasan (IS-K) said “The Caliphealing soldiers detonated a bomb on an electric pole in Kabul” to damage the electricity sector.
The explosion reached a high voltage line that supplies imported power to Kabul and several other provinces.
Afghanistan mostly depend on electricity imported from northern neighbor Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, making cross-country power lines is the main target of rebels.
The Taliban had promised to fight was K but the group continued to do a cruelty cruelty.
Earlier this week, IS-K said behind a suicide bomb from the Shiite Mosque in the southern city of Kandahar on October 15 which killed 60 people.
