LONDON: Italy, the first Western state to hit Pandemi, reported a record of 1,44,243 Covid cases on Friday, following 1,26,888 days earlier, the Ministry of Health said, while the number of deaths fell slightly to 155 of 155.
Patients at the hospital with Covid – not included in the ICU – stand at 11,150 on Friday, up from 10,866 the day before.
There were 119 new ICU receipts, down from 134 on Thursday.
England also reported a record high of 1,89,846 new Covid-19 cases on Friday, up a little from 1.89.213 the previous day.
Friday data also showed 12,395 patients at the hospital with Covid, up from 11,542 on Thursday.
There are 203 deaths within 28 days after a positive test.
