Milan: Italy reported 15 deaths related to Coronavirus on Wednesday against 24 days earlier, the Ministry of Health said, while the new infection daily calculation rose to 5,696 of 4,522.
Italy has registered 128,010 deaths related to Covid-19 since the outbreak emerged in February last year, the second highest victim in Europe after England and the highest eight in the world.
This country has reported 4.33 million cases to date.
Patients at the hospital with Covid-19 – not included in intensive care – stood at 1.685 on Wednesday, up from 1.611 the day before.
There were nine new acceptances to the intensive care unit, down from 16 on Tuesday.
The total number of intensive care patients fell to 183 from 189 before.
About 248,472 tests for Covid-19 were carried out on the last day, compared to 241,890 before, the Ministry of Health said.
