Kolkata: The Chair of the ITC Sanjiv Puri on Wednesday said it did not rule out the possibility of restructuring different businesses, including Demerger Hotels and even the ITC Infotech list, a subsidiary of the FMCG-to-Tobacco conglomerate.
At the company GMS, Puri also said this aims to optimize the value of shareholders while dealing with concerns over performance performing poorly from ITC stock prices.
Shareholders use the GMS to increase the problem of Demerger Hotels and the ITC Infotech list as part of the organizational restructuring.
“We have said last year that we will see the alternative structure, which we repeat this time.
We accept that considering the situation faced by the hotel industry, it is not the right time to do it.
We have to wait for recovery,” said Puri.
Puri said the hotel segment was the worst hit even though it had made some recovery, became Kasposa in the second half of the previous fiscal.
According to him, the situation provides an opportunity to see alternative revenue streams too.
“We also see how to present operational efficiency.
And this happens.
Our asset light model will help us grow faster and optimize capital intensity,” he said.
At ITC Infotech, a fully owned company ITC, Puri said the company made good progress and it would make the company grow this business.
“And, from time-threime, this (listing) things are evaluated and when felt it is the right thing to do, it will be pursued.”
