Coimbatore: Machines, Yarn and Cotton worth Rupee were destroyed in fire in Balamurugan Textiles in Kariyampalayam near Annur on Sunday morning.
More than 50 workers worked at the factory when the fire broke around 3am, the police said.
“They managed to escape and notify the Annur fire service station.
The fire fighters from Annur and Mettupalayam rushed to the place with two water tenders.
They took fire after seven hours,” said a police officer.
Waste, cotton bundles and machines are destroyed, said the Managing Director of Kanagaraj.
Police Annur enrolled the case.
