‘It’s impossible to set a domestic pink ball game for women’s Cricketers

Kolkata: The control board for cricket in India (BCCI) President Souravan Ganguly on Thursday said it was impossible to arrange domestic pink balls for women’s cricket in August ahead of the pink ball test because of the monsoon.
“Domestic matches are difficult to arrange in August due to rain,” Ganguly said to reporters on the day he celebrated his 49th birthday.
Previously, the Apex Board member BCCI Shantha Rangaswamy had asked BCCI to arrange the domestic pink ball game to help the girls get ready for the afternoon test against Australia.
India and Australia will lock horns in the night test from September 30 in WACA, Perth, and this will be the first time the Indian women’s team will play a test with a pink ball.
Ganguly also said that it was a voter call whether they wanted to send additional players to England for the upcoming five-match test series, starting in August.
“It’s a voter call,” he said.
Talking about cricket in Covid-19 this time, Ganguly said: “Nothing can be done with this Covid-19 situation, so it’s just a closed door.
Cricket clearly has started, India in England, then we will have an IPL and then there is The T20 World Cup.
Cricket will not stop and it will take place.
“” This is an extraordinary state.
Last year the World Cup was canceled.
This year if again canceled because of Covid, then it is a big loss for the match.
That is why it is why it is brought to a place Safe, “he added.
