Hyderabad: Justice S Abdul Nazeer from the Supreme Court on Sunday said that there is every need for the ‘Indianise’ justice system that is still full of colonial luggage.
Speaking as the main guest at the National Council met Akhil Bharatiya Adhivakta Parishad (ABAP) in Hyderabad, the judge talked about ancient justice system in India which demanded justice even from the kings.
“But today we pray for justice and call the judge as a noble and mistress,” he said, stating that lawyers must try to bring Judicial people into the justice system.
Justice Abdul Nazeer in his speech turned into critical of the current Indian legal system because he showed his colonial soul while providing justice.
“The British colonialist protects their subjects only after submitting their rights to the rulers.
At that time justice cannot be demanded, but it is permitted by the state as a concession problem,” said the APEX court judge.
“This contrasts with an ancient Indian legal system where justice can be prosecuted.
Because justice as a concept is innate in the Indian system,” he added.
Make further into the subject, justice Abdul Nazeer said mounting backlog case was a rendering of helpless judges.
Ignoring certain cases as trivial is also part of the surviving colonial mindset, said the judge.
“There is no doubt, this colonial legal system is not suitable for the Indian legal system.
We must eradicate the colonial mindset by creating our justice system.
Maybe it takes time, but I hope my words will arouse some of you to think of steps to deconize the Indian legal system, “he said.
“I firmly believe that such an effort will be a decent effort that can revitalize the Indian legal system and harmonize it with aspects of culture, social, and inheritance from our big country,” said Justice Nazeer, added that it would ensure a much stronger.
Justice delivery system.
“To achieve our constitutional goals, we must pay attention to the practice of ancient law.
The role of Indian justice cannot be isolated from the social goals,” Justice Abdul Nazeer added.
