J-K admin will work in mission mode for the development of tribes: Governor Lt Manoj Sinha

Srinagar: Governor Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha on Monday said the government worked continuously at different levels to safeguard tribal rights and would work in mission mode for their development and improvement.
LG spoke at the ceremony for the implementation of the ‘scheduled tribes and other traditional forest residents (recognition of the Rights Law)’ at J-K where he submitted individual and community rights certificates to beneficiaries of the Gujebar-Bakerwal and Gaddi-side communities.
Explaining that opportunity as “historic”, Sinha expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi because it made it possible to implement actions in the United States, and said this step would deliver a new era of empowerment and prosperity for less tribal populations.
“I thank PM Modi because on December 1, 2020, we apply forestry laws.
Before 2019, many central laws are not applied here.” JK administration, especially the Ministry of Forestry and the Tribal Affairs Department, has begun.
Efforts to do something for the development of these communities, “he said.
LG said that around 20,000 applications were accepted and while some people had been given a certificate, all who fulfilled the requirements will be given rights.” Apart from the forestry law, the JK administration has a program for their education and health, and I am satisfied that we will succeed in joining the community with the mainstream, “he said.” Not only the actions of forest rights that have been carried out, but I want to tell you that you will also get a job reservation and political ordering, “he added.
Sinha said the tribes in JK had waited a long time for their rights.” It’s been a long time.
Your emotions are played, you are used as a sound bank, but there is no treatment taken about your needs.
“This is not a political problem for me, but when I came here from Delhi, PM told me two-three important things, one of which was to ensure the implementation of the total acts of forest rights with honesty and gave the right to everyone.
I can said today that it was a good start, “he said.
He said the UT government continued to work at different levels to protect the rights of tribes.
“In the area where community rights are given, a number of Rs 10 Crore will soon be given to the development of infrastructure in these areas,” he said.
He said forests and tribes have existed for the generation and empowerment of tribal communities through the actions of forest rights will definitely change their living conditions.
“They will become independent with access to resources for their development,” he added.
He asked officials to remember that only those who met the requirements to get rights.
But Sinha urged the population of tribes in Jammu and Kashmir also fulfill their responsibilities to protect wildlife, protecting forests such as their family members and maintaining biodiversity.
LG said the current government in J-K has taken it alone to realize the dream of tribal communities and “we will do anything that must be done in mission mode for their development and improvement”.
“I think to empower tribes is a more sacred job than praying in any mosque or temple,” he said.
The Governor Lt also announced that hostels for children and tribal women would be built in each district and their culture would be promoted.
“We have also decided to build transit accommodations for tribes in eight places at a cost of Rs 28 Crore.
More accommodations will be built in the future.
Every transit accommodation can accommodate 150-200 people and special mechanisms will be built to keep their animals too , “he said.
