J & K: After Rajouri, Kathua District Bans Drone

Jammu: Kathua District Administration has imposed restrictions on the use of drones and flying objects after twin explosions by airdropped explosives at the Air Force Station, Jammu on June 27.
Only a few days back, Rajouri District Administration has also forced a ban on using drones, sales and purchases.
“It has been observed that anti-national elements can use drones and flying objects to cause damage, injury, and risk to human life in certain parts of the UT from J & K,” said Magistrate (DM) Kathua, Rahul Yadav said in the order.
Officials said that in the current situation to avoid confusion and to secure air space near vital installations and high-ranking areas, it was rational and wise to regulate the use of drones, small flying toys or objects to eliminate the risk of injury and property.
“The prohibition was imposed on the use of drones or small flying objects, toys flying in districts and drones that operate in Kathua Regency need to be registered on ACR / HR, add DM Kathua.
There is no drone that will be flown after sunset and before the sun is published and in terms of excluding , Previous permission from DM / ADM will be obtained, the order is read.
Further official orders read that the owner of the drone and the operator will be responsible for the damage that occurs, to the person or property, because of the handling error or not functioning drones.
Violations will attract the action below SEC-188 IPC.
