SRINAGAR: BUNCAME AND Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday said the United States is one of the best in the country in terms of education infrastructure and the government brings reforms to transform the education ecosystem by bridging the gap and opening opportunities for the younger generation.
Sinha made this comment after placing the foundation stone for the extension of the hostel girls and inaugurated sophisticated gymnasium at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar here.

Speaking on that occasion, the Governor LT told the various steps taken by the government for the development of the education sector in UT.
“J & K is one of the best in this country in terms of educational infrastructure.
We bring reforms to transform the education ecosystem by bridging the gap and open up new opportunities for the younger generation to take innovative challenges and become a change maker.” He said.
He said after Covid’s pandemic, the whole world had changed.
“I believe that opportunities also take dynamic shifts.
With new policies that are expected specifically to empower young people & provide a special encouragement for industrial growth, the government creates that possible,” he added.
The Governor lt called for young innovators to focus on new discoveries that will bring transformation in ordinary people’s lives.
“It’s time for us to come up with people friendly innovations & creative solutions to overcome problems such as ecological protection, explore alternative fuel sources, and strong road materials.
This will complement the government’s efforts to achieve development goals,” he said.
Sinha requested NIT administration and faculty members to take the necessary steps to promote a vibrant and entrepreneurial environment, in addition to strengthening the relationship of the institutional industry to promote the creation of employment and develop new new businesses to create younger prospects for our young generation.
An additional block of Hostel Girls has a total capacity of 120, being built on a budget layout of RS 13.22 Crore from the internal resource generator from the Institute.
The inaugurated gymnasium has been developed under the Prime Minister’s development package with a cost of Rs 1.86 Crore which includes gymnasium for girls, boys and outdoor gymnasiums.
