Srinagar: The terrorist on Monday was shot dead by a civilian in the Bohri Lizard area in the city, officials said.
The man, identified as Mohammad Ibrahim Khan, is a resident of the district of Bandipora.
“Terrorists shot Khan around 8pm after that he rushed to the hospital in a critical condition,” officials said.
According to officials, Khan worked as a salesman in the nearest Maharajgunj area.
Security forces have been corrected from the area to track attackers and investigations are currently underway.
This is the second attack by terrorists in Srinagar in the last 24 hours.
A police officer was shot dead in the Batamaloo area of the city on Sunday night.
National Conference leader Omar Abdullah condemned the murder of civilians.
“Murder of cowards from Ibrahim despicable & I unconditionally condemned.
Unfortunately Ibrahim is the latest in a series of murders targeted in the valley, especially Srinagar.
May God give him a place in Jannat,” he tweeted.
