Jammu: Kashmir Hindu on Wednesday observes ‘black days’ and protests to mark 32 years of their mass exodus after a genocide campaign initiated by terrorists.
The protesters held several placards, who read ‘hanging our killers’.
They demand justice for victims who sacrifice their lives and severe punishment for those responsible for the exodus.
Virji Kachroo, a Kashmir Pandit expressed his hatred of the central government and asked why this government did not send us to support our house at Kashmir Valley.
“We chose the central government twice, thinking that they would seriously consider this problem.
We want to ask the government when we will return to our house?” Kachroo said.
“It’s been 32 years since we have struggled to this day.
It’s not just a normal day for us, it is the day when it was expelled from our house,” he said.
Shadilal Pandit, another Kashmiri Pandit said, “We have lived our lives in exile.
January 19, 1990 is a black day when Pakistan conspires against Kashmir Pandits and we have left our house.” Shadilal slammed the central government because it did not take the right action to ensure the rehabilitation of the community.
“We are disappointed with the government that promises US rehabilitation but they have used us as a political tool,” he said.
“We asked the government to send us back to our house in the valley,” he added.
Thirty-two years ago on January 19, 1990, Land Jammu and Kashmir saw the beginning of the exodus of the mass of Kashmiri Pandits after the genocidal campaign was launched by terrorists.
