Jammu: In the step aimed at the process of managing a better solid waste and environmental sustainability in UT, and to facilitate easy separation, disposal and processing waste produced in the city of Jammu, Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha on Friday inaugurated material recovery facilities at Bandurakh.

This new facility has been equipped with the latest technology-based machines for better efficiency to achieve 100% recovery from dry waste.
It will facilitate the collection and segregation of all types of waste paper, cardboard and plastic etc.
from waste day to day produced in the city.
Speaking on that occasion, the Governor LT said that new facilities will complement the government’s efforts to manage solid waste effectively, and will contribute to the Mission of Swachh Bharat from J & K.
“The government gives attention to the management of waste for sustainable urban future in UT , LG said, “we put consistent efforts into the formulation of creative waste management strategies for environmental sustainability, in addition to making the protection and preservation of the integral part of our development plan.
“” By adopting the 3 RS approach “reduces, reusing, recycling”, we minimize scientific waste so that our cities become more sustainable and clean, the governor lt.
Underpointing the main component of Swayachhta Kendra, Governor LT observes that new facilities will maximize the number of recycles to be processed, while separating materials that will generate recycled income.
It will also help in separating factions that are flammable, non-recycled and inert from dry waste stream.
This relates to mentioning that recently, the Governor LT put E-Foundation RS 80 Crore which is valuable solid waste management facilities in the city of Bhalwal, in collaboration with Nafed.
