SRINAGAR: The government of Jammu and Kashmir will change the name of the government school after security personnel in 10 regional regions of Jammu who lose their lives in the task.
A communique, issued by the Office of the Commissioner of the Jammu Division, has asked the deputy commissioner from the 10 regencies to identify government schools in the villages and city wards which can be renamed after martyrs from the police, police forces (CRPF).
An official at the Division Commissioner Office said, “The Committee will be formed at the district level to prepare details after verification,” said an official at the Division Commissioner Office.
“Senior police supervisor, deputy additional commissioner and Head of Panchayat, along with representatives from the army will be part of the committee who will complete the list at the district level,” the official added.
Previously, the government had directed students to write essays about the contribution of freedom fighters and unsung heroes of Jammu and Kashmir for the national level creative writing competition.
