Srinagar: Two unknown terrorists were killed in a meeting with security forces in the district of Bandipora in Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday, police said.
Security forces launched the Cordon operation and searches in Shokbaba forests in the bandpipora soup in North Kashmir after input about the existence of terrorists there, said a police officer.
He said when the troops conducted a search in the area, the terrorists opened fire on them.
The troops retaliated, after a meeting where two terrorists were killed, the official added.
The group’s identity and affiliation of the killed ultras are being confirmed, he said.
Operation was underway, the official said.
