Srinagar: Authorities in the Srinagar District J & K on Sunday prohibit storage, sales, ownership, use, and transportation of unmanned air vehicles.
The command issued by Mohammad Aijaz, District Magistrate Srinagar, said, “To secure the air space near vital installations and very populated areas it is very important to stop using drones in all social and cultural meetings to eliminate the risk of injury to life and damage to the property” , Orders have been issued based on part 144 CRPC.
The order said that the access of decentralized air space must be stipulated in the view of the Drone misuse incident that misuses the threat to security infrastructure as reported by the media and other reliable sources.
“The Directorate General of Civil Aviation has provided standard operating protocols / protocols to regulate the use of drones in terms of body weight classification, generation of unique identification numbers, high limit / altitude, speed restrictions, enforcement / panel actions, etc.” command word.
The order said the government department used drones for mapping, surveys, and supervision in the agricultural sector, environmental conservation and disaster mitigation would notify the local police station before carrying out the public activities.
