Ranchi: Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) employee on Monday performed a Dharna in front of the JAC office on their non-salary payment and retirement for the past three months.
Dozens of JAC employees, including retirement holders, took part in protests that brought office work to traffic jams.
They stated that their salary and retirement payments were hampered because of the position of chairman and deputy empty chairman.
Chairman of Jac Arvind Singh retired in September this year.
An employee said, “We have to spend DIWALI and CHHAT without pay.
We are worried that the new year will also graduate in the same way.
Many of us face difficulties in meeting the basic requirements of our family.” Protesters decided to attract their Dharna after education Minister Jagannath Mahto issued a guarantee to the employee that the position of chairman will be immediately filled.
However, protesters warn that they will be forced to start protests again if adequate steps are not taken within a week.
In other developments, the Jharkhand Main Teacher Association has decided to begin agitation of the Ministry of Education and School literacy orders that extend the time of government schools.
In a meeting held on Sunday, it announced to the main Minister of Gheroo on December 18 to oppose a new time table, school teacher seizure modified forced career development, lack of promotion for years and the direction that asked for school to submit a meal scheme sack noon.
The Vijendra Association President Chaubey said, “The state government has always cheated school teachers and their demands are not serious.
We are now forced to take agitation paths.”
