Jaipur: The crime branch breaks into organized chain gangs and catches 29 defendants involved in 337 recorders during dawn to dusk attacks in places throughout the city on Friday.
The additional commissioner of the police, crime, Ajay Pal Lamba, said the special branch team continued to oversee their chain robbery and helper.
“The defendant who was arrested during surgery was some of the most famous leaders who led the network grabbed the chain that included their helpers such as jewelry who bought the stolen gold chain,” said Lamba.
The defendant was involved in the 337 virgin incidents which took place in the last three years in Jaipur.
“Helper and beneficiaries are also under the scanner,” he said.
The crime branch said several defendants had relations with gangs based in various cities and states.
They also regulate local support for inter-state and inter-district criminals to run Amok in the city.
These gangs plan to reap a decomposed fortune during the celebration season in crowded markets in the city.
“We have compiled a chain snatch database active in the city.
Operational planning ahead of Friday attacks,” said DCP, crime, Amrita Duhan, who led the operation.
“October is the peak season for a chain batch.
We have detained 42 accused and arrested 29 for alleged their involvement in some theft,” he said.
According to Duhan, in addition to grabbing the chain, several defendants were also involved in stealing cellphones and held other theft.
“Raids started at 5 am in 55 Jaipur locations.
The operation was guarded so that the defendant could not get chips.
We have recovered 10 wheels, one pedicab, and 17 cellphones,” said Duhan.
“Snatchers are usually inactive during the winter months.
For them, October is a peak season when the foot on the market increases exponentially due to the celebration,” he added.
