Jaipur: Police Manak Chowk arrested three people for allegedly continuing misleading information about a 300-year-old temple at Badiper Chauper on social media.
Mak Chowk Sho Surendra Yadav said that the arrest was identified as Keshav, Niranjan Sharma and Gaurav Tekwani.
The defendant has been held under the IT Law (Information Technology).
The police have submitted the FIR to nine known and some unknown people because of their alleged involvement in spreading rumors about changes made in the Laxminaray Temple complex on social media.
The videos have floated in local social media groups about certain changes made by people from various different religions in the temple complex.
Videos and photos have been circulating since January 31.
City police pay attention to the case when they learn that messages and videos have flooded the social media platform which is still widely distributed.
Police Commissioner Anand Shrivastava on Thursday wore a myth and conspiracy about this case and said contrary to rumors, there were no new changes or construction that occurred in the temple complex.
