Jaipur: For the second year in a row, there was no procession at the Teej festival because of a pandemic.
The procession that passed the walled city was held jointly by the Department of Tourism, District Administration and City Palace.
The women celebrating the festival made it low and displayed rituals at home and stated that they avoided meetings because Covid.
The woman in Jaipur did not let the pandemic blunt their enthusiasm for the festival with some of them arranged gatherings of elected people in their homes ‘Teej’ celebrated by married women who worshiped Dewi Parvati who were also known as ‘Teej Eyes’ also known As ‘Teej Eye’ today.
Today, he reunited with her long husband, Lord Shiva.
Dewi Parvati stated that currently a favorable time for girls and women in their lives.
It is believed that anyone who offered their prayers to Dewi Parvati on ‘Teej’ would be blessed with the wishes of their hearts.
Therefore, married women worship it today for long and happy wedding lives and their husband’s health and welfare.
Priyanka Kulwal, who did ‘Puja’ at home, said, “Unlike the Gangaur Festival where we all gather and do puja in the body of the water, in Teej, mostly done at home.
This year I also did the same thing as last year And most of my friends did rituals at home too.
“In Jaipur, Teej procession began with the city palace, winding his way through Tripolia Bazaar and Chhoti Chaupar and ended up at talkactra.
The Kingdom of ‘Dewi Teej’ procession consists of a camel, dancing folk artists, royal stretchers, trains and bull bull trains even though they are not held this year.
However, women did not let this pandemic blunt their enthusiasm for the festival and some of them arranged the gatherings of elected people at home before Tirej.
Sarita Somani, who has a similar event at home, said, “This festival is specifically for all women who are married but because of Covid, many of us cannot be connected so I decided to have some of my friends for a few days before Tej where we got Mehendi Applied from an artist, wearing ‘leheriya’ and celebrates the festival while remembering the Covid protocol.
