Jaipur: City Police will establish four new police stations including one at SMS Hospital and the other at the airport next month.
The other two tend to be the immediate operation of Jaisinghpura Khor and Daulatpura.
ACP (crime) Ajay Pal Lamba told TI that there was currently a Chowki Police (checkpost) at SMS Hospital near the corpse ward.
Chowki came under the MOTI DOONGRI police station, but a stable rise in the hospital guaranteed a new one.
“Patients and their family members from various cities come to SMS Hospital regularly.
Sometimes, there are legal problems and order outside the morgue too,” he said.
MOTI DOONGRI police station and Ashok Nagar will be frozen to accommodate the new SMS hospital police station.
Likewise, a police station dedicated to serving the airport and the closest area has long been in the pipeline.
“We are happy for the location for the airport police station, so that the closest population can easily approach us,” said Lamba, added that the new police station would be carved from the Jawahar Circle Police Station.
Some of the staff at the Jawahar Circle police station will be sent to the new police station.
Police Jaipur said the Jaisinghpura Khor police station will only be carved from the Brahmpuri police station to serve the local area.
Apart from that, the new Daulatpura police station will replace the police who have Chowki.
“Daulatpura is also a prime location that requires a separate police station itself.
Some Daulatpura areas are under the VIKI while half again comes in the jurisdiction of the Amber Police Station,” he said.
