Jaipur: The Sanjay Circle police on Thursday broke a large honey separation racquet and arrested three people including a partner to take Rs 3 lakh from someone.
Sho Safiq Khan said the defendant was identified as Priya Sharma (38), her husband Vivek Sharma (38), both Bundi residents, and Shiv Ram Meena (64), a dausa district resident.
Police said Priya had been friends with a man posted as the Lower Division (LDC) officer in Bundi.
A few weeks later, Priya began to extort it and extorted money at various stages.
When LDC was transferred from Bundi to Alwar, he followed him there and intimidated his family members for more money.
According to the police, the couple also came into contact with Shivram and they formed a gang.
Priya demanded RS 18 lakh from LDC’s father, following the police claiming to claim that three people tried to extort money from him.
