Jaipur: Residents living in the colony near the Durgapura train station have faced difficulties due to lack of water.
On Friday and Saturday, there is no water provided and on Sunday, it is supplied in low pressure.
During the past five months, similar situations exist throughout the area.
About 30,000 populations of the area are influenced by poor water supply.
This area is under Ward 81 of the Jaipur Municipal Corporation, which is larger where 13 colonies, including Bajrang Vihar, Shanti Nagar, Nagar Jadon, Madhav Nagar and others are coming.
Suresh Goyal from Bajrang Nagar Colony said that this problem was in the area for the past five months.
“Water is provided either for a few minutes where the pressure is very low so we cannot fill two buckets or not provided at all.
We have complained many times but don’t know what the problem is,” said Goyal.
Another resident of B D Verma from Shanti Nagar said that the population ordered a tanker to meet the water requirements in the area.
They have been requested by the government that this problem is being considered and the solution will soon be done.
Reacting against complaints, Phed officials have immediately claimed that other new pumps and tank houses will be built in the area.
For this financial sanction it has been received and immediately a six kilometer-long pipe will be placed.
Jay Vashishhtha’s board member said that this problem was not there five months ago, but because the area was now divided into two zones, the water crisis continued.
“Phed has divided the area in two zones where water is supplied to one zone in the morning and others at night.
But this has happened further problems.
Phed officials have given us guarantees, but no one is resolved,” Vashistha said.
Residents have protested the problem many times and wants a quick solution.
