Jaipur: Two students from private universities were hit by pick-up vehicles at Chautsu on Tuesday afternoon.
The victims were identified by the Chaksu Police Station as Azhar Ansari (24), an original Sawai Madhopur, and Om Prakash Bishnoi (24), a resident of Jalore Regency.
Sho (Chaksu) Yashwant Singh said that the incident happened when the duo walked back after attending their classes when a pick-up vehicle that quickly ran on it.
They were quickly transported to the hospital where they died later.
Police said that Ansari and Bishnoi were B.ED (graduate education) students in college.
“Both of them came to Jaipur to prepare B.ED.
The incident lasted almost 100 meters from the campus near Rampura Nullah.
They were taken to the hospital but could not survive the accident,” said an official, added that the prime facie investigation showed that the vehicle was Drove on the road and crashed directly to Ansari and Bishnoi when they walked back along the way.
They were swelled on the road when their classmates rushed to help the duo.
Some students and teachers from College gathered around the place and talked to local authorities.
