Jaipur: The branch of Jaipur police crime on Friday seized magazines and six cartridges from a 21-year-old young man who prepared competitive exams.
The crime branch identified the defendant as Kamlesh Meena, a native of Lakson in the Dausa district.
Police said the defendant was a graduate who had prepared a competitive exam in the city of Dausa where he lived in rented accommodation according to police, accused of interrogation claiming that he was friends with Rajendra, Dilkush and Shankar Lal, who were previously arrested by police from Ramnagriya in the city.
He told the police that he liked to look after firearms.
He was handed over to Shyam Nagar police station where he was questioned about firearms.
The crime branch said they had launched an operation on weapons (AAG) to curb illegal firearms flowing into the city.
The team working in the AAG task force had received a tip-off about Meena and arrested it on Friday.
