Jaipur: Three armed people broke into the house of former council members in Sanganer in the extensive daylight on Thursday and fell asleep with cash 10 lakh and about 2 kg of gold after holding a woman and her baby.
This is a second coring case like that in the last three days in Jaipur.
Earlier on Tuesday, two gunmen robbed Rs 15 lakh from the bank’s dome room at Chomu House.
According to family members, Sachin Saini, an advocate in the High Court, the incident took place shortly after 2pm when his father, Ram Dhan Saini, a former board member and property dealer, just left their home in the Gulab Vihar area after completing some work .
“A man came to the house and asked my father Ram Dhan Saini.
My sister was near the gate when the defendant took out a weapon and asked him to remain silent,” Saini said.
Saini alleged that the defendant also attacked his brother-in-law, Shilpa, and covered his face with tape, and made him a prisoner at the weapon point.
“They also attacked his two-month-old daughter,” he thought.
According to the family, the suspects permeated through the closet and drawer of the hall and fell asleep.
“I returned at 3:40 a.m.
and I found a house searched.
I found my son-in-law tied and released him.
He was afraid and crying,” Saini said.
Saini said he told the Sanganer police station after where many police arrived to take stock situations, “they fled with the gold money and Rs 10 Lakh,” he said.
Additional DCP (East) Avnish Kumar Sharma said the investigation into this case was underway.
The investigator of the city police special team arrived at home and checked the nearest area and CCTV.
Sources in City Police suspect the old planning precedes theft because the defendant knows the right time to attack when most family members are.
The incident triggered a wave of panic in the area with several residents who raised worries about spotty security in the region.
