Jaipur: JK Lon Hospital, which is the largest children’s hospital in the city, is ready to become a Covid Hospital specifically for pediatric patients if the third wave attacks.
Officials said they were preparing with more beds in the ICU and providing centralized oxygen to almost every ward in the hospital.
Also, oxygen plants have been installed.
The hospital currently has 45 beds in the pediatric icus and 50 other beds will soon be added.
Also, the hospital by getting 80 more beds for Neonatal Icus (Nicus).
The beds in the neonatal icus are 130.
“We will get 80 more than Nicus on November 24 for children under one month.
Overall, 50 beds for pediatric icus are almost ready and can be used anytime,” said Dr.
Arvind Shukla, Supervisor, JK Lon Hospital.
In addition, the hospital gets 150 more ventilators.
Also, three oxygen plants have also been installed, which can produce enough oxygen for hospital needs.
The Ministry of Health strengthens health facilities for children.
More NICU, Triggers, ICU, Oxygen and Laboratory Generators in Ajmer, Udaipur and Bikaner Medical College and hospitals that are bound to them will produce 44 crore RS costs.
Ajmer’s Jln Medical College, Udaipur’s RNT Medical College and SP Medical College in Bikaner will get 140 nicu beds and 300 bedd triggers for around RS 16.72 Crore.
In this medical college, 8 oxygen generators with a capacity of 1,130 cylinders worth around RS 9 Crore and two liquid medical oxygen plants with a capacity of 4,400 cylinders per day recently inaugurated.
Also, 100 ICU beds, 20 NICU beds and BSL-2 laboratories for RS 17.30 Crore were inaugurated in hospitals attached to medical colleges.
