Jaisalmer: GSI found 315mt limestone

Jaipur: Indian geological survey (GSI) has found 315 million tons of cement class limestone in four Jaisalmer blocks spreading more than 13 square kilometers.
On Tuesday, GSI submitted a report to the state government.
After receiving the report, the Head of the Mining of the Additional Secretary and Petroleum Subodh Agarwal said that the department would study the report and take further steps to develop blocks for auction.
“Our first assignment is through report findings.
So, we will develop blocks for their auctions,” Agarwal said.
Recently, the Chairman of the Minister of Ashok Gehlot has written the Ministry of MINISTERS Joshi Prahlad to expand the work of mineral exploration in the state.
He said that the Rajasthan government has contributed more than Rs 250 Crore to the trust of national mining exploration (NMET) but the exploration of mineral blocks has not taken priority in the state.
