Jaipur: Jaisalmer and Pushkar will be developed as a city of solar in the state, according to the Minister of Energy and State B D Kalla.
Giving a senior official meeting from the relevant departments including the administrative district, transportation, energy, urban and regional government, the minister said the roof of solar power systems, solar parks, solar street lights and solar powered electric vehicles will be the main feature of the city.
“All energy needs from these cities will be fulfilled from Surya sources,” Kalla said.
The projects will be implemented under the scheme of the Ministry of Energy and Renewable Ministry of Surya, and Rajasthan Energy Energy Corporation will work as a nodal body.
This program aims to reduce conventional energy demand that can be achieved through a combination of energy efficiency measures and increase the supply of renewable energy sources.
This exercise involves preparing a master plan that considers various sectors.
The basic line of energy for the city must be documented in detail consideration in existing energy demand and supply scenarios.
It consists of a wise energy consumption matrix and a mixture of energy supply for the base year.
This program helps the urban regional government in preparation for the master plan to improve energy efficiency and renewable energy supply in the city, regulate institutional arrangements for the implementation of the parent plan and create activities to increase awareness and capacity.
