Jalan Mg Gurugram to get RS 14 Crore Makeover immediately

Gurugram: In a pedestrian-friendly step, the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) plans to develop a pathway and a cycle line along a stretch of 2.6 kilometers from Jalan MG between the IFFCO Chowk Metro Station and Sikanderpur.
The authority also plans to build a top-up intersection, limit the dedicated seller’s point, improve the shelter of the bus queue and make a seating room under the RS 13.87-Crore project.
One of the busiest stretches in the city, MG Road Houses several malls – MGF Metropolitan, Sahara Mall, City Center, and Metropolis Mall – as well as private offices, hotels, gated communities and two Metro MG Road and Sikanderpur stations.
As a result, the area witnessed the heavy pedestrian rush to cross the road which made him prone.
According to GMDA officials, the Top-Top Zebra intersection is being considered for stretching to facilitate the movement of pedestrians and non-motorized vehicles by ensuring slower driving speeds.
“All stretches will be changed to ensure better space utilization for cyclists and pedestrians, and to make it more organized,” said an official.
Earlier this week, the Core Planning Cell GMDA (BPK) was informed that civil works under the project will be carried out by authority, while the Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) will be charged for the work of greenery, while beauty stretches will be carried out by corporations through CSR initiatives.
“The BPK has recommended the job.
We will soon hold meetings with all stakeholders, including malls and other companies, throughout the stretch to discuss the design,” the official said.
The project, involving some civil work, is likely to take at least nine months to complete after the allotment of an institution.
“We must be able to send the project at the end of 2022,” GMDA official said.
Namrata Sharma, who works at Comp Private-Everyle located on MG Road, trail cycles and crossroads that are limited to pedestrians will make stretches safer for pedestrians and drivers.
“Until now, people cross the road wherever they want, who not only compromise with their safety but also means that the driver uses stretching needs to ensure that they move more carefully than in most other places than in most other places Instead of in most places other than in most other places than in most other places than in most other places than in most other places than in most other places.
This creates the scope of accidents and accidents, so this GMDA plan, If it is executed properly, it is quite promising, “Sharma added.
