Letter: A 23-year-old man from Jalgaon, Maharashtra was arrested by the city police officer on Tuesday for allegedly issued a threat to the Cabinet Minister Maharashtra Aditya Thackeray, who was also the son of the Chair of the Minister of Uddhav Thackeray.
Police arrested Dhananjay Nikam while waiting to take the train for his home city.
City police have received specific information about Nikam from their colleagues in Maharashtra.
According to the details of the case distributed by Nikam with the city police, he was a graduate of BSC and lived in Shahpur Village in Jalgaon District.
Currently unemployed, he was annoyed because he did not get the OBC post-metric scholarship since the last half of the year.
He also tried to make a representation to Thackeray, but it didn’t work.
He searched the Thackeray telephone number on the internet.
He found one cellphone number and tried to call it at least three times.
There was no call answered after that he sent an SMS ‘I’ll kill you’.
He then went to Mumbai and visited Shiv Sena Bhavan on the omelet.
He tried to meet Thackeray but was told by security personnel to come after the Ganesh festival.
Nikam then took the local train from the omelet and reached Borivali.
From there he took the bikaner train and reached the mail train station.
He was waiting at the city train station when police arrested him based on specific information about the location.
