New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday launched the renovated Jallianwala Bagh commemoration complex at Amritsar Punjab.
Launching a complex through video conferencing, Modi said Jallianwala Bagh Smarak would inspire the younger generation to find out about their noble past.
“Jallianwala Bagh is a place that gives the courage for countless revolutionaries such as Sardar Udham Singh and Bhagat Singh to sacrifice their lives for the freedom of the nation.
It will inspire the younger generation to find out about their noble past.
It will make them realize the number of sacrifices.
Given our people to achieve freedom, PM Modi said.
“What happens during & after the partition can be seen in every corner of the country & especially in Punjab.
We have marked August 14 as a partition for the horror of the anniversary, to remember the pain and suffering faced by the Indian people at the time, “PM Modi added.
Captain Punjab CM Amarinder Singh also attended the event through a video link.
