New Delhi: A Sentry Defense Security Corps was deployed to the watch tower that maintained the perimeter of the Indian Air Force base in Jammu on Sunday observing two drones that flew above the station about 30 seconds before they dropped a bomb and moved, said the source on Wednesday.
“Sentry DSC was alert and maintained a watch when he observed two small drones as used in marriage entering the air space in aerabal and in the future about 30 seconds, there was a loud explosion,” said Sumber Ani.
“Other Air Force personnel also heard the sound of drones when he worked in his cabin near the ATC Tower,” the sources said.
Sources say the alertness of the two personnel has helped in estimating that drones used for attacks at the Air Force station last week, whether the battery was operated which could have a range of around 10-12 km and also the direction they visited for the attack.
The two personnel will now provide a statement to the National Investigation Agency who have been given the task of investigating this attack.
Some agents have been involved and all air bases have been placed on high warnings to prevent such attacks from terrorists.
Two drones are used to carry out attacks in the air force base on your watch on Sundays, said sources.
“There was no damage to any plane in the explosion.
Two personnel suffered minor injuries,” they said.
