Japan closes the Embassy in Afghanistan

Tokyo: Japan closed his embassy in Kabul because of the deteriorating security situation in Afghanistan and the last twelve remaining embassy personnel had left the country, the foreign ministry said on Tuesday.
The Taliban took control of Kabul without a fight on Sunday, rounded up a dramatic week of progress in Afghanistan.
“Because the worsening safety situation in Afghanistan, we temporarily close our embassies there,” said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement, added that it moved the embassy’s duties to the office in Istanbul.
“Twelve remaining embassy personnel have been flown from Kabul airport on military flights provided by the friendly country and evacuated to Dubai.” The ministry also warned of his citizens still in Afghanistan to leave, and said any trips there had to be postponed.
