Colombo: Japan contributed 1.4 million doses of AstraZeneca vaccine to Sri Lanka, which has faced severe AstraZeneca vaccine shortages to complete the second dose.
Japanese donations followed the personal request made by President Sri Lanka Gotabaya Rajapaksa to Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga, said a statement from the President’s Office.
