Gurgaon: A Japanese medical equipment maker was ordered by police Gurgaon about court instructions on Saturday for allegedly inflating product prices and distributing unregistered importers.
According to a probe by the drug controller, the company states the MRP of Rs 9,500 for the product – a guidewire used in surgical catheters and procedures – to the authorities, but on the market, the product label brings Rs 10,000 as a MRP (samples are collected from the market by drug controllers ).
Based on the data available with the department, the excessive amount drawn for the product is Rs 6.16 Crore.
On June 10, during hospital inspections by drug controllers, other products – guide catheters – found with other company labels as importers.
The MRP on the label is Rs 8,000, though, according to the drug controller, the company has stated the MRP of Rs 7,450.
The drug controller holds this as a violation of the 2013 orders (price control).
A complaint was submitted to the police by the Food & Narcotics Administration in Gurgaon in June after the opinion of the district attorney was taken, but there was no FIR.
Sharad Mehrotra, President of the Gurgaon Chemical Association, approached the local court last week and assessed the additional session Ashwani Kumar on Friday was registered as FIR.
“Given the facts coupled with the same documents that have been attached by complaints, this court found that without proper investigations, justice could not be done in this case containing the prerequisites,” said the court order.

A case is registered at the conscious police station on Saturday below, 120b (criminal conspiracy), 420 (cheating), 467 (fraud), 468 and 471 (forgery) IPC and the preventive parts of the Corruption Act on the Company, authorized Head of Signing and Sales.
