BELOGIVAVI: Gokak Mla Ramesh Jarkiholi will not lobby to return to the cabinet in the upcoming rejig after he resigns from a water resources portfolio after a sex-for-job scandal.
Ramesh in telephone conversations with Toi said he was not interested in the cabinet posts, it would not be lobbying for it.
“I am not interested in any position and I will not try to secure a position,” he said.
The BJP high command might go for the Shuffle cabinet after Sankranti.
Some party leaders such as Vijayapura Mla Basanagouda Patil Yatnal have stated that the district will have a better representation in the next shuffle cabinet.
His brothers at the party said the decision was abandoned to Lakhan, who won the MLC poll by fighting independently but also disappointed several equations.
Lakhan’s victory resulted in the depletion of BJP candidate Mahith Kavatagimatmath in a setback to the party and Jarkiholis.
The idea of the Family Fielding Lakhan was to defeat their political nemesis, Congress Mla Laxmi Hebbalkar.
It is believed that if Ramesh defeated Congress in a two-year poll, he would have a strong bargaining place to reclaim power in the cabinet.
However, with the questioning scenario questions asked what he would do.
When asking if his brother Lakhan was forced to support BJP on the council to get the majority, Ramesh only said that the decision was abandoned by Lakhan.
He said he had nothing to do with this.
Already in BJP said that Ramesh might not lobby for a cabinet bed this time because he had lost the ground.
Its influence in this country is reduced due to recurring setbacks, said sources.
He now might ask his brother to support BJP because it was the only choice he left after he failed to get his party to win in the recent election.
