Mumbai: The Bombay High Court on Thursday rejected the dismissal petition submitted by the actor Kanganana Ranaut on the process of defamation which began with the complaints submitted by Veteran Lyrics Akhtar.
The actor has challenged the command of a judge directing the police investigation into the complaint.
Justice Revati Mohite Dere who had heard Rizwan Siddique’s advice for Ranaut and Jay Bharadwaj for Akhtar to say dismissal on Thursday.

A judge Andheri is scheduled to hear the case on September 14.
