New Delhi: Jawaharlal University Nehru (JNU) on Wednesday paved the way for the Implementation of Central University – General entrance test (CU-CET) from the next academic session.
All entrance examinations will be held through CU-CET, which will be carried out by the National Test Agency (NTA), the university states in notification.
During the deliberation at the Academic Council meeting (AC) on Wednesday, “a large number of members” emphasized that CUET will provide “the level of play for various students who qualified from all over the country, reducing the burden of taking several entrance checks”, Jayant K Tripathi , Director of Acceptance JNU, said in the notice.
Safe! You have managed to throw your votelogin to see the resultreferring to the meeting held last March, notification added that the decision was “in accordance with conformity” with the decision taken in it.
However, the JNU teacher association (Jnuta) said there was no discussion about Cu-cet that occurred even in the meeting and it was only one of several recommendations from the Advisory Committee for acceptance.
According to the recommendation, “As far as Jneee 2021-22, the Committee recommends that JNU have to do Jnuee on schedule through NTA.
However, if you accept all directions from MOE / UGC, the university will adopt and recognize students through CU-CET.”
Some of the student’s body parts and the teacher claim that the right deliberation is not held before placing a proposal at the AC meeting.
According to several AC members, proposals about CU-CET are included in the additional agenda, which are distributed among members on January 10.
The day before the AC meeting, 111 faculty members urged the government to send CU-CET proposals to return for further discussion.
“Because this is a problem that requires a broad deliberation, given the interdisciplinary nature of the JNU study program, we ask for air conditioning to refer to agenda items for discussion at the school level and their center,” their letters are read.
Jnuta accused the representative of Chancellor not placing this letter on the table also did not allow people to raise concerns about the adoption of cu-cet at the meeting.
Some AC members requested a discussion at the school or middle level, “but unfortunately, VC caregivers did not allow their concern for each room and dampen the speakers suddenly”, it was claimed.
In a letter to VC, the JNU Student Union said, “Many universities, including JNU, offer unique programs and courses for universities.
The ‘one-size suitable thing for all’ cut will be detrimental and will not be enough to accommodate a variety of programs offered at various University.
