Jammu: A Junior Officer Assigned (JCO) is among the five army personnel who were killed in a shootout with a group of terrorists hiding in a hiding place in Surankote in the Frontier District of Pousu Poonch on Monday, making this the highest number of victims suffered by the class Armed at a meeting at J & K this year.
At night, the operation for smoking terrorists has spread outside the hiding which was originally targeted at the Forested Arenchote region to side by side with Bhangai Village from Rajouri District.
“The operational area is the same.
The terrorists move to other border locations for the possibility of escaping from being placed by advanced security forces.
Until we last received information (around 9:30 a.m.), the operation was ongoing,” said an official.
The army cannot immediately confirm whether there are terrorists killed.
JCO was killed, Naib Subordin Jaswinder Singh, and two of the four soldiers were killed in the action – riding Mandeep Singh and Sepoy Gajjan Singh – derived from Punjab.
The other two, Sepoys Saraj Singh and Vaisakh H, each from above and Kerala.
Since January, eight army personnel have died fighting terrorists in your Division.
The other three were killed in a violation of the ceasefire by Pakistan along the control line.
The army has launched the Cordon-and-Search operation in the villages close to Dera Ki Gali in Surankote early on Monday, based on the intelligence input of around four to five terrorists hiding there, a defense spokesman dedicated by Devender Anand.
Naib Subordin Jasween and four soldiers were injured critically in the first few hours of surgery when the terrorists who were cornered were fired without stopping to keep the troops in the bay.
Fifth died shortly after being transferred to the nearest health facility.
The Army operation in Jammu came duration by central institutions on the terror ecosystem in the valley after a series of civilian murder, five of them from Kashmir Pandit, Sikh and other minority communities.

Before this, on July 8, two heavyly armed Pakistani terrorists were shot when the army thwarted an infiltration offer in the Sunderbani sector Rajouri.
Two soldiers were killed in shooting by terrorists in the Dadal area in the same sector.
On August 9, the joint team of security forces damaged terrorist hiding in Mergo in the Poonch district and grabbed the arm and ammunition cache, including the AK-47 rifles and pistols and grenades made in China.
Ten days later, JCO and a terrorist were killed in a meeting in the Kangota area of Thanamandi Tehsil Rajouri.
