Jammu: A junior officer assigned (JCO) was killed and a terrorist was neutralized during a fierce battle of weapons between security forces and terrorists in the area of Thannnami District Rajouri in Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday.
Security forces also restored weapons and ammunition during search near the meeting site and calling operations during the day late at night.
Additional Director General of Police, Jammu Zone, Mukesh Singh, said One AK 47 Rifle, a gun, magazine and other ammunition recovered from the site in the Desamandi in Thanot.
Defense Pro, Jammu, LT Col Devender Anand Details that Joint Operations and Search Operations Launched by Indian and Jammu soldiers and Kashmir police in the village with specific inputs.
“Junior Communed Officer Subeated Ram Singh (46), who led search operations in the forest area near the village, was shot by terrorists hiding in a solid forest,” said Col Anand, adding JCO to reply and in the next things to shoot, one terrorist neutralized.
Subeda Singh was evacuated to the nearest hospital after first aid, however, he gave up on his injury, said Col Anand.
Defense spokesman added Subeda Singh belonging to Salana Village at Uttarkhand’s Pauri Garhwal.
“He survived his wife, his son,” said The Defense Pro.
This is the second meeting in Rajouri this month.
Earlier on August 6, two Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists were killed in a meeting with security forces in Thanamandi Belt and two Rifles AK 47 with nine magazines and 232 rounds, four grenades, rubber, balloons, pills and other items everyday use restored from the site.
Surprisingly, one of the terrorists was later identified as Ramees Ahmad Tantray, son of One Mohammed Yusuf of Ramnagri, Shopian, who had traveled to Pakistan on a legitimate Indian passport in February 2018 and was not known to have returned afterwards.
Prior to this, on July 8, two very armed Pakistani terrorists were shot when infiltration bid foiled the army in the Sunderbani sector Rajouri.
The two army veils have also reached the martyr during fire exchanges in the Dadal area in the Sundarbani sector Rajouri.
