Dharwad: The loss of Janata Dal poll in the city of Annigeri Panchayat from Dharwad District has been linked to the former defector of MLA NH Konaraddi recently to Congress.
The results announced on Thursday revealed that Congress emerged as the third largest single party winner of 23 seats while Janata Dal (s), who had secured 10 seats last time, was empty.
BJP and independently won five seats while the Janata party has secured a chair.
Five independently, which has won, is the Rebel of Congress while the Lone Janata Party candidate is the BJP JD rebel in the region.
