Patna: JD (U) Mla Narendra Kumar Neeraj aka Gopal Mandal landed in a fresh controversy after he was seen in underwear in Patna-New Delhi Tejas Rajdhani Express on Thursday night.
His video became a viral on the social media platform on Friday.
Mandal admitted that his stomach was upset during the trip and he had to rush into the bathroom in his underwear.
Co-passengers, Prahlad Paswan with whom Mandal has an argument over his dress, reportedly filed a complaint with Delhi GRP against MLA from Gopalpur in the Bhagalpur district.
Paswan accused MLA and his aides traveled with him to take two gold rings and chains to oppose the mandal violation.
However, Mla told the media in Delhi that Paswan was drunk.
The source said Mandal, along with his three colleagues, was on the train from Patna to Delhi.
When the mandal rushed to the small room in his underwear, Paswan allegedly held his hand and asked him for walking ‘half naked’.
“It is not feasible to roam in underwear when the coach has several female passengers,” said Paswan to the Mandal without knowing that he was MLA.
“He held my hand and bothered me.
But I rushed to the restroom,” Mandal said, added, “Later, I went to the man and asked him about his identity.
He said I was public.
I took off his face mask and felt that he was drunk.” Mandal also claims that there are no women in the coach.
MLA, however, admitted that he harassed the man during the next argument.
“When the Force Protection Rail personnel (RPF) came and asked us about the argument, I showed them my clothes and asked if I was naked? I was 60 years old.
The man pushed me where I responded by abusing him,” Mandal told MediodPersons at Delhi, telling the incident.
MLA always remains in the news on his controversial comments.
On August 25, his party JD (U) had looked for an explanation from the Mandal to “accuse the deputy head of the Minister and leader BJP Tarkishore Prasad to collect extortion from Bhagalpur entrepreneurs”.
Mandal also demands Prasad’s resignation.
Previously, in March 2016, the State President JD (U) Bashishtha Narianiain Singh had suspended the mandal of the party over his public statement that “the main AB Hatya Ki Rajniti Hai Karwunga Karwunga” (I will enjoy the politics of murder and implement the people).
Cm Nith Kumar on Friday avoided the query by MediodPersons about the controversial behavior of the mandal on the train.
However, the JD (U) leader and the Minister of BUILDING ASHOK Choudhary said: “The party has so far not accepted MLA’s opinion on controversy.
There are no written complaints about MLA.
We will comment on the incident only after getting the Mandal version.” However, Choudhary added that MLA must behave well in public places.
