Lucknow: Janata Dal (United) has his eyes set to the Patel community when preparing the engine to take 50 seats (until now) in the upper assembly selection of February 10.
After the party stated the first list of 20 candidates on Tuesday for assembly seats mostly in Purvanchal where the presence of a strong community, on Friday finished his star campaign.
The party has a focus on the Awadh region or center, besides Purvanchal.
Bihar Head Minister Nith Kumar will handle virtual rallies in the state, which must be resolved.
In addition, the National President of the Rajiv Party Ranjan (aka Lalan Singh), a national spokesman and Secretary General of KC Tyagi, senior leaders of Harshvardhan Singh and Upendra Kushwaha are among 15 star officials for elections.
JD (U) Head of Anup Singh Patel said that the party can decide to oppose more seats in the state.
The candidates stated that until now were party workers and office carriers above.
“We will come out with more names of candidates next week,” said the state president.
The candidates have been declared for assembly chairs in Ayodhya, Lucknow, Kanpur Dehat, Prayagraj, Mirzapur, Jaunpur, Deoria, Sonbhadra, Unnao, Ballia, Varanasi, Siddharthnagar, Rampi, Amethi, Shraverti, Pratapgarh and Lalitpur.
After BJP was not an ally with a party for elections, he decided to go solo.
But this is not the first time JD (U) will compete itself in the assembly selection.
In 2012, the party contested himself and also, so far, the maximum number of seats, 218.
The party, however, did not win a seat.
This was contrary to the performance of the party in the assembly selection of 2002 and 2007 above when it was contested in the Alliance with BJP and won one seat.
However, in the election of 2017 assembly, the party was not a contest.
The party will compete to build on the ‘Bihar Governance Model’ which is about ‘Nyay to Tangah Vikaas’ (Development with Justice).
JD (U) has also registered a problem for the election.
In addition to seeking legalization of MSP, he also looked for special status for Purvanchal based on SEZ policy for its development.
The party also said that the top government must attract cases submitted to farmers in the election period itself.
