JD (U) to hold the National Council met at Patna on August 29

Patna: JD (U) has held a national council meeting in the country’s capital on August 29 to ratify Rajiv Ranjan Singh’s nomination aka Lalan as the national president and several other decisions taken at the party’s national executive body meeting held in Delhi.

More than 250 delegates, including national office carriers, MPs, MPS, State President, and other senior leaders from 23 states and Union, will participate in the National Council Meeting, National General JD (U) Secretary AFAQUE Ahmad Khan told TOI by telephone on Friday.
“The party’s national office bearer meeting has also been held on August 28,” Khan said.
All the main leaders, including Bihar CM Nith Kumar, National President of Lalan Singh, Minister of Steel Defense Union & former National President JD (U) RCP Singh and Chair of the National Parliamentary Council of the Party of Upendra Kushwaha will attend the meeting.
“This will be for the first time Lalan and RCP will sit together at the meeting after the recent bitterness among their supporters of their photo problems missing from one other person put up to welcome them,” said a party leader.
The National Council meeting was also significant because it was held before the election of the Assembly in Goa, Manipur, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand early next year.
When JD (U) has decided to oppose the polling of the Manipur Assembly and Uttar Pradesh in an effort to achieve the status of ‘national parties’, the problems related to the state polls are likely to be discussed at the National Council of the meeting, said the source.
Lalan, while handling meetings at the party office here on August 6, said JD (U) has the status of ‘States Parties’ in Bihar and Arunachal Pradesh, he needs to reach the status of’ States Parties in two countries in two countries into ‘national parties’ .
He also called for the polls of the Assembly who will come above and Manipur.
In addition, Lalan held a meeting with senior party leaders in Delhi on August 13 to discuss the issues associated with northeastern countries, especially the Assembly polls in Manipur.
At the meeting, it was also decided that Jhanjharpur MP Rambrit Mandal would visit Manipur in the first week of September to take a stock of political situations there.
The meeting in northeastern countries was also attended by Khan National Treasurer, Mandal and Party and Gopalganj MP Alok Kumar Suman.
